Why is this tiny organism so important? We don’t know how much fish or other seafood is in your diet, but millions of people would starve if they had no access to the sea and fresh water fish.
Majority of all sea creatures would not exist if they had no access to diatoms. This tiny sea organism is, for example, main food of gigantic baleen whales that weigh even 90 ton. We don’t know if whales are aware that such organisms exists – they surely can’t see them. Whales open their huge mouths, take in tons of water and filter out microscopic organisms. The largest living creature on Earth owes its existence to the smallest organism on Earth.

What is the influence of diatoms on our health?
Explore the fascinating world of living organisms supporting human and animal health.
How important are diatoms to you? It doesn’t matter if you’ve ever heard of them. They are important for your wellbeing and maybe for your existence. We are sure that the human race could not exist – at least as we know it – if it wasn’t for diatoms. It is very important that you have some knowledge about those organisms and know why they are so important – because the human race is currently putting at risk its own existence destroying the living organisms most important for the Earth.
They are of physical nature and are safe for your body. The micro-photograph below shows the frame of a diatom shell magnified 7000 times:
The shape of the shell and the size of holes in its wall are very important. Additionally, each shell has strong negative electrical charge. Many harmful substances that are present in living organisms are positively charged. Diatoms – thanks to their negative charge – act like a magnet that attracts, absorbs, and destroys positively charged harmful substances which are sufficiently small to get into the holes in diatom shells. Diatoms pass through the stomach and intestines cleaning them of substances dangerous for your health.
Diatoms passing through your digestive system brush against parasites causing their damage and subsequent death. Diatoms themselves pass through your body not causing any harm.
Most living creatures come in contact with parasite eggs every day. Parasites may be killed with toxic substances or equally effective and harmless diatomaceous earth.
In the modern world most food (animal feed and human food) and most water and air contain dangerous substances which cripple your immunological system engaging the energy that could be used in case of animals to produce meat and milk. For example, Canadian veterinarian Dr. Johnson discovered that diatomaceous earth absorbs bacteria responsible for diarrhea and removes such bacteria from their bodies. Animals are protected from unnecessary stress and potential death.
Animals fed with feed with addition of appropriate amount of good quality fossil flour are not affected by parasites and toxic chemicals and draw maximum benefits from the feed and water they consume. As a result, veterinary care costs may be reduced by even 75%.
